Auberge du Soleil

First imagined by French restaurateur Claude Claude Rouas in the 1980s, it was the valley’s first gastronomic destination. Here, hotel guests get a taste of Provence, surrounded by the American wine region. There are 50 rooms at the property ranging from private houses to classic rooms. But of course, it is the culinary offer that is the highlight of the Auberge du Soleil. Three- and four-course menus are offered alongside five- and six-course tasting menus – these are sensory experiences that excite the palette. Meals are accompanied by French-inspired cocktails, bubbles from the champagne cart to the table and of course the extensive wine list. There’s also a bistro and bar for a more relaxed approach to meal times, with stunning views of the sunset at the end of the day. Auberge du Soleil has been awarded a Michelin star for 14 consecutive years.
