1 Hotel Paris, France
Far from your average hotel, 1 Hotel Paris functions as the “green lung” of the Paris Rive Gauche district with sustainability and innovation at the heart of this project by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. Located on the left bank of the Seine, the building – which looks more like a surreal sculptural form – stands out for its wooden panels, abundant terraces and lush vegetation. Described as an eco-luxury hotel, the hotel features 140 rooms, a rooftop restaurant, co-working space and swimming pool.
