The Central Epidemic Command Center announced today (23) that there are 89 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, including 52 local cases and 37 imported cases; there were no new deaths among the confirmed cases. One of the local cases (Case 18443) was a male counter worker at a five-star spa hotel in Jiaoxi, Yilan, who was sent to hospital for early morning isolation and treatment. Currently, the Health Bureau has expanded screening to over 500 employees and over 500 tenants. There are over 1,000 people. The case’s girlfriend also developed symptoms such as fever. The test result was positive with a Ct value of 14.

The command center said the new local cases today were 32 men and 20 women, ranging in age from under 5 to 70.
The command center explained that the new immigration cases from abroad today are 17 men and 20 women, aged under 10 to over 60, from the United States (12 cases ), France (3 cases) and the United Kingdom (2 cases). , Denmark, India, Ukraine, Philippines, Turkey, Australia (1 case each); the remaining 14 cases are under investigation. The entry date is from January 8 to January 22, today (2022).
According to statistics from the command center, to date, a total of 5,441,110 new notifications related to coronavirus pneumonia (including 5,422,031 excluded) have been reported in China, of which 18,325 have been confirmed, including 3,368 cases. imported, 14,903 local cases, 36 Dunmu Fleet cases, 3 aircraft infections, 1 unknown case and 14 cases under investigation; 2 new cases with empty numbers (case 17934, case 17970, the re-examination was negative and the judgment was rejected), a total of 119 cases were deleted as empty numbers. Since 2020, a total of 851 deaths from COVID-19 have been reported, of which 838 are local. The counties and cities where the cases reside are as follows: 413 in New Taipei City, 322 in Taipei City, 29 in Keelung City, 27 in Taoyuan City, 15 in Changhua County and 15 in Hsinchu County. 13 cases, 5 cases in Taichung city, 3 cases in Miaoli county, 2 cases each in Yilan county and Hualien county, and 1 case each in Hsinchu city, Nantou county, county Yunlin, Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County and Taitung County; 13 cases were imported from abroad.
