Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH), a league of more than 500 boutique retreats in 90 countries, recently launched the âConsiderate Collectionâ to showcase its most sustainable member hotels. Properties must master three key themes: enriching their local community, protecting cultural heritage and benefiting the environment through regeneration measures. Currently, 26 establishments are in the spotlight, including the Gaïa Riverlodge, a hydroelectric facility in the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve in Belize, founded by Canadian hotelier Daniel Lighter.
